Need advice: Failing for 3 Years Straight: Procrastination, Avoidance, and Now Considering a Degree Switch. What Should I Do?

Hey everyone,

I'm at a point where I really need some advice. Over the past 3 years, I've been failing miserably. Despite trying, I’ve only managed to get through only half a year's worth of content in this time.

I deal with extreme procrastination and executive dysfunction. I know the things I have to get done, but no matter how important they are I find myself avoiding them as if they don’t exist. It’s a painful loop and I’ve tried numerous techniques to escape it but it doesn’t really work out.

I've decided to try and seek advice on reddit for the first time to attempt to fix things. I also have a buddy in the exact same situation as me and we were considering switching degrees to restart and hopefully push each other to actually get things done. But we can’t tell if switching degrees and ‘restarting’ is just another way we’ve found to avoid all our problems. Who should I talk to for help with this? Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
